This beautifully aromatic wine begins with luxurious layers of ripe strawberry, damson plum, and grenadine, as well as spicy notes of cinnamon and clove. The palate is inviting and rich, offering energetic tannins that frame the brambly fruit, and oak-inspired accents of cocoa and graham cracker. Bright and supple, this juicy expression of Red Mountain Cabernet glides to a long, complex finish, with hints of earth and generous red berry flavors.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Mountain (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 2% Mourvedre, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Syrah) sports a deep purple color to go with lots of smoked black fruits, chocolate, and classic Red Mountain minerality. Medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, and balanced, with ripe tannins, it's another impressive wine from this team that will evolve for 10-12 years, if not longer.

The 2017 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon has a ripe nose and is well put together with aromas of black cherries, redcurrant and dark plum with a delicate minerality, soft tobacco notes and red flowers. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is clean and correct with a structured mid-palate that delivers pleasure but decreases in amplitude over the finish. It's good but not as complex or as voluminous as their other bottlings in the range but delivers at a great price.

Dark red. Aromas of strawberry, plum and spices, complicated by graphite minerality and crushed herbs. Supple, fine-grained wine with a subtle sweetness and good vinosity to its plum, spice and cocoa powder flavors. Offers very good breadth and palate coverage without any undue weight. Finishes with an earthy complexity, firm fine-grained tannins and sneaky persistence. Not yet especially nuanced but very well done, showing good inner-mouth energy and lift. No easy sweetness here but plenty ripe.

Trim and lean in structure, with a pronounced core of firm tannins that contrasts medium-bodied currant and stony mineral flavors. Best from 2022 through 2028. 16,022 cases made.
